Sony Store_Downtown Macon

Sony Store, It's not a new prototype. There are Sony Retail stores similar to Apple Stores and/or Microsoft Stores that you see in malls etc. I had an idea to design a new Sony Store, and since this was just an electronic retail company, I decided to place it in an already made, but newly renovated, building. I chose downtown because I believe that the city of Macon can become more modernized or upgraded, but not too much. There is an existing building among 471-477 Third Street (which sits in front of renovated Dannenberg Lofts). I decided to take that enormous space and renovated into a Sony Store, using the space next to it as a front entrance towards 471 Studio Lofts, A studio-office rental level which sits above the Sony Store. I originally planned on placing the Sony store in this Mercer-owned building on Martin Luther King Boulevard in front of the 'Capricorn' Building (where Nicolae Trifuarch) designed this upcoming Music Amphitheater, however, the building looked as though it was a perfect attraction so I decided to leave it alone. It took almost an hour to find an existing building in Downtown Macon, until I went to the space on Third Street near Prince and Dunlap Park and decided to take a stab at it. 
 When I say this is the Sony Store, I mean the brand Sony. Therefore, I'm talking about PS4's, Sony Gadgets, Sony Animated Pictures, and also the cities newest Downtown electronic store. 
 Also note, I did the inside as well. I originally planned to just design the inside or give the inside more attention then the outside, but when I was near the current space on Third Street, I decided to just design a renovated version of the Front and the Left half of the exterior building. I did NOT, on the other hand, place any products in the store. I just placed televisions, lighting, and the large screen (that somewhat Microsoft store has). The point is that since most of the outside has already existed but just refurbished, I decided to just do the interior, too.
This is the second project I published on Ammons Renderings where I did the inside of a building. Chicago Bowling Alley 'People Eating Salt' being the first.  



Here is the Thea Rendering of both the exterior and interior of the Sony Store. The glass-like translucent material inside does make the store look more appealing, and the lighting as well. This was the first shot I published of an inside view with Thea Rendering. Like I put out before, This is just an empty view of it, it has no products. 



The above two pictures are just the outside and the inside views of parts of the building. If you still don't get it, then I published an X-Ray portrait below. The 471 Studio Loft could vary easily, so I left it for now. But, As you can see, It's a little easier to get the message on what the Sony store was to look like if it was real. This is not an enormous emporium, but just a simple store like Microsoft, Apple, and/or The Source and stores of that nature.

Roswell Volkswagen

Roswell Volkswagen is a car dealership next to Waffle House and Sandy Springs Toyota. It's a two-story building with a service center, offices, and much more. It also has an Auto Center(Building B) near the back of the building. The difference I made of this building from the others, when it comes to Building A(The Main Building), usually, the entrance facade post is white along with the edge material, but instead, I designed Roswell's blue, and the edge's I designed in a brownish-tan color. I also used green glass as the windows. This building also has two circular windows from the roof top to give more of a style to it. I also placed the service center in the front based on one of the concept photo's of an existing Volkswagen dealership building. 
  

The picture above and below are Thea Renderings of Roswell_Volkswagen. I just want to be very clear on what the front would look like. Of course, You even see the same cars. 


The second Thea Rendering is just a more foggy picture of it. You can also see the reflection on the windows. I also used the tree as a component (by Google Designer Nate). So Nate and the component designers who made the cars, Thank you for your examples. If I had known they had a component of the VW logo(which they did), I wouldn't have had to design the one you see right now, which still looks great, so why does it even matter?


These are just the sides of the building. As you can see also, unlike other buildings, This Volkswagen building has darker brown and tan colors. Most VW buildings are white or light gray. You also see the blue material on other parts of the building as well.  


This is Building B, or the VW Auto Center. It can be used for car repair etc., but I just designed it just incase there needed to be an extra set to the car dealership itself. It's just a new warehouse building that has been styled up and decorated. I designed it like an Auto Center, though. Cars come it, cars go out. 


This is the front and back of Building B. As you can see, Cars come it, cars go out. It doesn't have to be an auto center, but I've arranged it to be car convenient. 


From this map on the after photo, Building A is the larger building of course, and behind it is Building B. Just North of the dealership is the new Waffle House and the past renovated Sandy Springs Toyota. The reason I placed VW where it is, is because Sandy Springs Toyota is the only brand dealership in that one area; Therefore, A dealership plaza would form if more dealerships moved into the area. The whole goal behind this all is to help spruce of Sandy Springs along Roswell Road, even though this is not a real plan.

Costco Wholesale_Macon

Costco is a wholesale store for some of you that don't know. For example, Sams Club or BJ's probably. Costco is common in parts of Atlanta such as Cumberland Mall or Peachtree Dunwoody etc., but Macon has no location. So, I decided to bring it to the city. Like the movie theater problem, The city lacks wholesale stores, so I decided add Costco to the other side of where Sams Club is located. This is the first design I used for SketchUp 2014, and this is also the first design I used with Thea Render. This store would also be across from where the old Westgate Mall(which became Westgate Shopping Center and turned into a living hell) is located.  


Thea Render is a rendering software that I have for SketchUp 2014. I also placed the door and garage entrance/exit along side each other.


This is the Front, Rear, Left, and Right side of the entire building. It takes up most of the lot it uses. Costco's first location would be in the brain of the Southwest part of the city.

Bethel AME Church

Bethel AME Church is currently a church in the southwest heart of Macon, Georgia. The ecclesia resides in the building at the subdivision of Mumford Road and Earl Street. My goal during this time was to choose a random church, or ministry, and give my gift. Bethel was my choice. The new church building is colored in blue, purple, and lavender. The building is also styled with brick, cladding, and also 'stone-cladding'. The facility also will replace the old Butler Early Childhood Center (That I myself attended as I was in preschool) and the lot will be between the end of Earl Street and Dawn Street. The new church building has a sanctuary(of course), a pastor study, a dining hall, a kitchen, etc. I also placed a title plaque in front of the main building entrance.    



Church floor plans are simple. Just two buildings, one is the majority sanctuary, and two is the majority dining hall. The seating rows also elevate down as you reach the stage. 



Bethel's new building would not be far from the current building. For those who have no idea what this would be like, The new church would move onto the lot where an old school (Butler) used to be. Just one road up north.

Allies of Pio Nono

Allies of Pio Nono is a four-story apartment complex that sits along Pio Nono Avenue and on the southeast side intersection of Montpelier Avenue. My goal on this was to make new style apartments in neighborhoods that are abandoned or not well supported. The Studio/1/2 Bedroom apartment also has a courtyard that's 3/4 way surrounded by Building B. There is a pool park behind Building A which is where the front desk lobby and office is as well. There is also a fitness room and also a game room. I used blue and mostly cool colors in this design because I preferred to make the image pop out to those who see it. If this were really to be built, The plan would be to demolish the declining neighborhood that's currently residing on the lot, and make a level terrain. Then, Rise the allies onto the horizon.

This is also the first rendering I used with Twilight Rendering, A new software that I used with SketchUp. The shadowing is more visual and the lighting is more easy to tell.

This is the courtyard(surrounded by Building B). The courtyard apartments have balconies that stand over the ground. 

This is the front of Building A. The top picture also shows this without the logos. This shaded entrance will take you to the front desk, fitness room, and through the building to the pool park etc.

This is the pool park behind Building A. The park is gated and also half-way routed by lighting. The pool is circular and at night, it lights up. 


The reason of this apartment being called 'The Allies' is because at the Perimeter in Dunwoody Georgia, I once stayed at the apartments called 'The Axis at the Perimeter' and in my hometown, I decided to call this plan 'The Allies' like from World War 2. Also, Like the Axis at Perimeter, Allies of Pio Nono has two buildings that are separated by a parking deck.

Pendleton Homes Cont...

Pendleton Homes Apartment is an apartment building on the Pendleton Homes site, and currently does not exist. If the new housing structure were real, this would be the only apartment building on the site. It is a five story building with four stories of residential living. Each floor has eight apartment houses, All with two bedrooms only. This can be for family use and also for use of about 2-4 people. The first floor is only just the main office, the clerk, and the 411 of Pendleton Homes etc. There are also stairways on the side, an elevator, and a pair of escalators in the middle for convenience. The apartment sits right near the roundabout at the entrance of the site. The structure and material used to make this apartment is similar to the way the houses were designed. The texture and everything. 


The apartment houses have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two closets(one with a washer and dryer), a kitchen, a Living Room, and a multipurpose area with four wardrobes. Depending on whether you live in The Vertex or The Average, the style varies. The Vertex are apartment houses on the sides of the building, The Average are the rest of the apartments in the middle.

Pendleton Homes

The current Pendleton Homes is a Macon Housing Authority of tiny apartments, like the projects. When seeing the current apartments, I felt as though they needed an upgrade, so I designed the new structures and these new tiny houses. When I say these houses is tiny, they are small. Don't even let the structure white print(on the picture second from the bottom) fool you. The houses only have one bedroom, and one of just everything. The only advantage of this is that you would have your own self-building even though you rent ,or lease, it. I also provided more color to the buildings. For example, One side of the two pairs of homes, there is a normal and heavy tan clad, with blue painting, and tan bricking. The other side, There is an avocado green clad and purple clad, with grass green painting, and orange-gold bricking. The air roofing and shades are the same. 



The white prints have a Living Room with a washer and dryer, a Bedroom, a Closet with a heater, a Kitchen, and a Bathroom with a small tub/shower. This would only be recommended by only one person, or two if possible. This would not be family preferred, but if anyone can make it possible, they can.
