Savannah Georgia Aquarium

Savannah Georgia Aquarium (2014)
Savannah, Georgia, U.S.A.
Amusement, Zoological Garden, Entertainment

Most of us know the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. It's pretty nice and also the 'mall aquarium' because it's an aquarium with the view of a mall, due to the escalators and the balcony atrium  This aquarium, however, is near River Street which is way far from the original aquarium. The Savannah Georgia Aquarium (SGA) is would be part of the Georgia Aquarium franchise from the looks of it. The SGA would be smaller and also it has a similar size connection to Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, except, that SGA would be larger. The 3-4 story aquarium has three floors of exhibit and the fourth floor for staff only. The aquarium has a planetarium (for marine and underwater view), a main atrium, several exhibit halls, a upper floor auditorium, a gift shop of course, a Cinnabon food court (or just a food court), several lobbies, and also an underwater river tunnel exhibit. That's what's great about the aquarium, The river exhibit. You can walk into the tunnels lodged through the river and see the water all the way around.

This picture just above shows the sides of the building. The top is the front, the left is the left side, the middle is the right side, and the right is the back side of the building. This does NOT include the river tunnel for it's lodged under the river. These are just exterior view plans.

Watch this video of the SGA slideshow. It shows more pictures, info, and also clears points about the aquarium. It will show you final pictures, shape structures, the map of the aquarium, and also the river tunnel etc. So, Enjoy.

For those who can't play the movie, Here is the directory of the aquarium. From Level zero to four. Don't let this confuse you. These exhibits and rooms are NOT as huge as you think. The roof comes from the fourth floor, The planetarium level ends before the third floor and so does the west exhibit, The first level of the planetarium level only leads you to more exhibits including the River tunnel. The River tunnel will take you into the river and all the way across to the west exhibit in a balcony room, where you can reach from level zero to one. Cinnabon also has two places to order; You can enter from the front and order there, or if you're in the aquarium and had your ticket torn already, there is a concession stand from the same Cinnabon inside. The exhibits do not include emergency areas(except maybe the river tunnel), The lines also separate by exhibit, not by room or space. You also don't see door entrances or exits from outside. This is just a 'Pre-draft' if you want to look at it that way. You can at least tell where the main stairs, the main elevators and escalators, and also the main points of the aquarium are located.

The reason I designed this was because I visited the Aquarium of the Smokies recently in Tennessee and since I've notice there being two aquariums in Tennessee, I thought to make a second urban aquarium in Georgia. I've visited the Tennessee Aquarium in 2005, and also the new Georgia Aquarium in 2006. What I liked about the Tennessee Aquarium was that it was an aquarium with a more one-way long adventure tour. The Georgia Aquarium was like a mall of aquariums. You go into an inside mall and one of the tenants would be a shark exhibit or something. What's also great about many aquariums are the tunnels. The Georgia Aquarium and the Aquarium of the Smokies had tunnels in their aquarium. Tennessee Aquarium also had an escalator that ran for meters until you reached the highest floor which was the start of the one-way hours long tour. These ideas started to mix up and then, SGA happened.

Here is also a commercial I did of a fish drawing that goes with the aquarium.

Rice Elementary School

Jesse Rice Elementary School (2014)
Macon, Georgia, U.S.A.
Commercial, Education, School

This is not one of the best schools I've attended as a kid. This was the first school I've known to have bullies and careless adults. It's been years though so I don't know what's like now. I thought of redesigning it and making a new facility of it. Bibb County BOE is planning a 2014 Improvement plan and redesigning schools. I pretended as though they would redo Rice. The real plan is that they would shut the school down, but I imagined as though they destroyed the old building and rose the new one up from the ashes like Sherman burning cities.
If this elementary school were to exist it would be one of the largest in Southwest of Macon, and might be the only elementary school since schools are being phased out in the area. I used stone, brick, and also metal. I also used gray panel material like what you would see on the futuristic building. On the new Rice rendering; You would see it above the windows, at the front entrance, and the back hall entrance. I sort of took the usual and typical school style when it comes to mapping.
The map above is the map of the new school structure. It's 'kind of' like an architecture blueprint but it's just a 'pre-draft'. The Gym is on one end of the school and the Cafeteria/Auditorium is on the other. The media center is also next to the gym and the computer lab is multi-purpose to the media center. There are also three hallways, The K-1 hall, The 4-5 hall, and The 2-3 hall, which tell what grade classes should be in each. The K-1 and the 2-3 hallways are the same so it really doesn't matter which is which, but by how the classrooms are designed what determines what grade level uses them. So, I'm sure many would ask 'Why didn't you do this in order from Grades K-5?', well good question. I wanted to design the school in symmetry. Look at the hallways and put a line through the 4-5 hallway(200 hall) and see the symmetrical appearance. Since 4th and 5th grade classrooms don't have restrooms, I decided to place it in the middle and the classes with the bathrooms can be at the end. Also, The classes without the bathrooms don't take a lot of space, so there is also a possibility of a future addition.

The left picture shows you the current school, and the right picture shows you the possible render school in Ariel. It's not that accurate, but clear enough to see the point. The playground that currently exist on the North part might not be effected by the school upgrade. Also, The bus ramp is at the side and not up front, and carpool is up front and not some dirt road surrounding the playground.

This is just a model of the entire building.

Waffle House at the Perimeter

Waffle House at the Perimeter (2014)
Dunwoody, Georgia, U.S.A.
Commercial, Restaurant, Diner

This is a very unique style Waffle House, with yellow clear metal cladding and also plain bricks of two different colors. If this Waffle House were to exist, it would be the only Waffle House access for miles(other than the location off Chamblee), and the store at Sandy Springs closed a while back.
Anyway, This Waffle House is shaded and also fits onto it's lot. It would be visible to two of the roads that it lays right between. The diner also has a two door-entrance and is very large compared to an average Waffle House.

Note: The location is right across from the parking lot of where I designed the Zaxby's a month ago

Wendy's On South/North Polk

Wendy's-South/North Polk (2014)
Charlotte, North Carolina, U.S.A.
Commercial, Eatery

The original version of this Wendy's, which sits on 9300 South Blvd, is still currently the '1990's bank' style. I decided to give it a more futuristic look. The new style Wendy's are way too off. They are so upgraded, it's like walking into George Jetson's living room. So, I decided to do this Wendy's the same way. I chose this location out of many out of random drawing.
The Wendy's has the same location and same structure, just styled differently. Like the first building, This one also has two drive thru's. What I also put a new style to were the doors. The doors don't look like any door's I've designed on any building. The doors usually are protected by the metal with the glass in the middle, instead, the entire door is bullet proof glass with metal parts only in the middle of the top and bottom. The outside looks nice, hopefully, the inside's cool. The way they make these Wendy Burger joints look right now are nice.

Black Zygoboard

Black Zygoboard (2014)
Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A.
Commercial, Amusement, Games

The new version of MetroPlex Atlanta, which will be Black Zygoboard (named after a random thought that came to my head), is a combination of a bowling alley, a fitness center, and a skating rink. So, I decided to use this futuristic look to make it more appealing and convincing to many teens and also to upgrade the current level. Remember, Where the building currently sits was a plaza, but was vacant and the current building holds the metrostores inside.
The current store also holds an arcade, and hopefully so will the possible version of it. I myself went to the MetroPlex because my moms cousin hosted a birthday party for her son. The place was loud and energetic. There were also people coming and going, and the arcade was filled up in the bowling alley section. Before, We went skating and well, I did suck, but the skating rink was pumped up and people were enjoying it. I did not put any color on this project other than dark purple, and it can vary. I designed a circular lobby as an entrance/exit, and the stores have their own entrances. The doors are also larger than normal and I used small windows to escort little light but not much.

The ironic thing is that if you look from the front of the current MetroPlex; The skating rink is on the left, The fitness center is in the middle, and the bowling alley(and arcade) on the right. But, The Black Zygoboard is way different; The skating rink is on the right, The lobby takes up most of the middle, The fitness center is on the front near left, and the bowling alley is on the far back left. I don't know if the skating rink or bowling alley will have the arcade.

The Black Zygoboard is at the same location as the current MetroPlex, and for natives in the area, that's off Metropolitan Pkwy(behind Popeye's and AutoZone). Most of the dying plaza, Stewart Lakewood, has to be demolished to make way for more parking just incase the store is too big. The bottom picture above also shows concept art, the location proposal, and (to the bottom left) the current MetroPlex building.

Jehovah's Witness of Nakuru

Jehovah's Witness Church Of God(2014)
Nakuru, Kenya
Religion, Commercial, Church

This is a church in Kenya. Jehovah's Witness is currently a small church and since it was close to this land near off, I thought of what the church would look like if it were designed near. Jehovah's Witness Church would move to this new building which has a sanctuary, a dining area, a stage, and other stuff as well. I colored the metal exterior red, but the color can vary. This church also has a lobby and there are enough office rooms for the pastor to have his/her suite. The purpose is to support the church's oversea's and Kenya was my first random choice. I did not design this church that huge for comforting reasons.

Macedonia Church of Macon

Macedonia Church of Macon(2014)
South Macon, Georgia, U.S.A.
Commercial, Church

Macedonia Church has been on 2nd Street and Eisenhower Parkway for sometime. The church currently holds the former Mabel White Memorial Church, which relocated somewhere else before Macedonia took over. The church will move from it's 2nd Street location to a lot off of Bloomfield Road in South Macon. The church will be built where the elementary school would use to be. The elementary school, Minnie Burghard, would be demolished and replaced by the church. The church has a sanctuary, a gym, a dining area, and several other things. As you can see in the bottom picture, the grass area will show room for a parking lot. I used purple because it was the church's color from how I saw in the current logo and website. The church also has a balcony and the church has more of a theatrical look to it.
