Perilnorth Middle School

Perilnorth Middle School (2015)
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.
Educational, School

This new school would sit on the current location of the current Strawberry Mansion Middle/High School. The old building would be imploded and the new building reconstructed from scratch. The middle school is a three level middle school, that carries each grade level. The exterior color is purple, but the school color could vary. I also placed a fountain in the middle of the diagonal turn lane, and also a more structured parking lot with a more fresh environment. This could feed into the Strawberry Mansion High school, which I redesigned down the street. So, Instead of being a middle and a high school, clumped together and taking up one space, the middle school has the land all to itself.

The picture above, and the pictures below are four renders of the building. This is the show the more realistic views of the school.

This huge asphalt spot in the middle is actually where the dumpster would be located in the picture above. The building to the left in that picture is the theater which sits on top of the gym which takes up two floors of the building.

The picture above shows the academic and the science wing. First level carries the 6th grade, Second level would carry the 7th grade, and Third would carry the 8th level, unless the system functions otherwise.

This is a 360 degree turn video. Watch and Enjoy the 3-Dimensional view.

This is the inside original directory of where everything is located. The gray areas indicate that the area takes up both the first and second floor. There are many great advantages on designing the school, with it having it's own campus.

Perilnorth Middle school is known for it being able to have issues, but still some student can make it, some can't. But, Remember, The school design may have an impact on students. The new campus is just a new environment and the erase of the previous one.

Early at 8am

Early at 8 a.m. (2015)
setting_fictional location
Film, Sequence Animation

Meet Michelle, She's a young teenager who's depressed most of the time, especially the stressful mornings that she gets up, and knows she has to deal with work, school, or any obstacles that day, and she's not really stable, knowing that her room is a mess and liquor is in the hallway etc. Also, Her boyfriend was just in bed with her last night but he had to get up early and leave, which could be told by the open sheets as you see her bedroom in the opening scene.
About the film, I designed everything using SketchUp, Photoshop, Gimp, and After Effects. I also used YouTube as my sound library. I did not want anything professional, but something that looked close enough to a cartoon. This is also one of my rarest motion cartoons with 2D Animation skills. The film is simple and only 50 seconds.

Michelle's halfway turnaround consist of front, side, and also three-quarter view.

This is the bedroom and just photo's without extra materials and objects. The mac was barely shown in the scene where Michelle leaves her room, and in the picture below, the busted cabinet is never shown. Also, The covers were not added if you can see the bed, with just the mattress.

The kitchen is just a simple designed kitchen.  I designed this kitchen in a bit of a disrepair on purpose to show that it's hardly ever taken care of, even though it's just been renovated.(Personal info: The way this kitchen is set up, such as the refrigerator and the stove, is almost similar to how my dad's kitchen looks).

This is the floor plans and scene plans for the film. Again, I wanted to make this film as simple as possible. The red dot shows Michelle, and the gray camera symbol stands for where the camera is located.

This picture shows what the two miss doing and the film show's what they're going through now.....well at least, what Michelle goes through every morning after 8 a.m.

Strawberry Mansion High School

Strawberry Mansion High School (2015)
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.
Education, Futurism

For many who live in the area, Most would know Strawberry Mansion High School. I've seen footages of the school, and also Google Maps images as well. The current Strawberry Mansion High was one of the most dangerous schools in America. The school turned over four principals in four years, before the current principal, Linda Cliatt-Wayman, brought stability after leaving Superintendent of High Schools position. This was due to the fact that three high schools merged in Strawberry Mansion which left Wayman to make a tough decision. Well, of course, She removed the 'dangerous' title from the school, and the school is still up in running as for now.
I designed a new Strawberry Mansion High School which is located right down the street from the current location. Here is the 'abnormality', Since it was called Strawberry Mansion High, I decided to structure the focal building in the form of a strawberry; The windows make the seeds, The top portion is any color of the hue of red, the roof has the green metal leaves coming out, and also the shape is like the shape of a strawberry. The seven story building also has the two level wing which has a three level cafeteria attached to it. The gymnasium is at the other end of the building which has its own entrance from the front. The low amount of acres and space would be the reason to design the entire high school over one level.

This is the front of the school in this Thea Render above. The parking lot is visible including the ramp to the parking deck on the left (the parking deck is not shown).

This is the main entrance to the school. If a person were standing in this picture, you could easily tell that this is a pretty large facility. Once, you enter in the front doors, there are stairs and a ramp that elevates you few meters higher.

The gymnasium is on the left-hand side, and the right shows the southeast entrance to the school building.

This is the rear of the building. The rear entrance, and the three level circular cafeteria, are shown. The strawberry is so large that in all of these pictures.

This is a closed night-time scene.

This picture is a Birds-Eye view of the school. The strawberry's image is easily seen with the leafs and building design. Also the park surrounding it is easily seen.

This is a 270 degree view of the school. This is to show a clear point of how the building looks around from the exterior.

There are NO details in these plans. These are a directory, or an idea of how the inside is structured. The top picture shows the South wing, and the bottom shows the Strawberry. Interesting part of the Strawberry is that the round auditorium is on the two top floors of the building.

This is an Earth Ariel view of the school. The southeast field would be for future use.

So, The current high school is located on Ridge Avenue, which would relocate from there to Dauphin Street and 27th Street. The current school is combined with the Middle School, and L.P. Hill School (which is closed). A great purpose would also be to give the High School its own facility.

Keep up the good work, Malaysia and Rezzaq. I designed this cartoon-like image of the new school. I drew two characters similar to 2012 Freshmen students, Malaysia and Rezzaq. These were two of the students from Diane Sawyers 'Inside Strawberry Mansion High School' footage.

Here is the link to the footage.

So What? Now What? Well, I just hope that SMHS remains in stable function, and the school I designed was just to bring artistry, especially since most schools in the neighborhood are aged.
The Knights finally received a Strawberry.

Glenwood Preschool Academy

Glenwood Preschool Academy LLC (2015)
Macon, Georgia, U.S.A.
Early Childhood, Education

Glenwood Preschool Academy is currently an Early Childhood department. It is behind the former Cynthia Weir Elementary School, and is currently in the renovated addition of what used to be part of the Elementary School. My aspire would be to demolish the elementary school and build a facility for the preschool academy. The facility has no less than 8 classrooms, a cafeteria, offices for any use, a multipurpose room, and of course a playground etc. I didn't bother to touch the renovated addition that the school is currently in, because there was no reason to. If this were a real project, the preschool could stay in the current building until the new building would be done, and/or if the new building is done, the current addition building could still be useful.
I also rearranged the parking lot, and fenced it off, so the preschool academy and the gas convenience store would be separated.
The preschool academy does have a small resemblance to Northwood's Academy in North Midtown, except Glenwood not under the Board of Education. However, both early childhood centers are constructed, and both which has lots that used to belong to elementary schools, in a way that the campus should be small and colorful.

The Maxwell render is the picture above, and the two pictures below are the Thea renders. The second picture, you can see the playground. Note: I did not design the slide-set nor the swings, they are just components I recolored. My purpose of this was to show the playground in general.
Also in the main building, there are long stretch elevated windows. Internally, the walls to those windows do not reach the ceiling, except the ones that surround the restrooms. If you look at the playground image you'll see the high windows in the main building on the left side. The below picture on the top is the main building from the front. I designed the text in color, so the text may grab attention.

Another 360 degree video of the sides. It should be very clear how the school looks. So If someone wanted to re-design this, they could just use this video to help them.

This is the directory plan to Glenwood Preschool, and like I mentioned in the main building, the walls where the elevated windows are, do not go to the ceiling, but stop where the windows are, which is around 3.5 meters, or 11.5 feet. There is also a stage in the cafeteria. The floor rises up as you walk onto the stage from the side, as it shows on the plans. The restroom plans may vary.

For any child who wants experience here like I did at early childhood development, I would hope this facility would make one remember that this is where they started.

Baconsfield Danforth

Baconsfield Danforth (2015)
Macon, Georgia, U.S.A.
Mixed-Use, Residential, Office

Baconsfield Danforth is a five-story mixed use plaza. The first floor holds offices and commercial tenant space, while the top four floors hold Studio/One-Bedroom Apartments, and also the top two has a conference suite each. About the title, Baconsfield is the neighborhood where the building is located, and Danforth comes from Metta Danforth, after the formal school in East Macon. If this building were to exist, the current plaza strip would be demolished, and this apartment would take its place. The plaza has a pool, possible game room, fitness center, laundry room for convenience, and also other accessories. There is also a fireplace in the lobby, and there is a courtyard where the pool is located.

This is a view from I-16. If you were driving either bound, you'd see this side of the building (in the picture above this paragraph). I wanted to use this sketchy image as sort of a drawing style.

This is a birds eye view facing Southeast. You can see the parking deck, and also Interstate-16. The building doesn't take much space because the community itself isn't that large. It would also look much simple if the mixed-use plaza is just one building.

Once again, I decided to do the 360 degree view on each side via video. This should be easier to tell that this is a 3-D model.

This picture above is a room-directory map of the building. It shows the story-levels, and also accessories that the building contains. I have the rooms and suites numbered. I've also showed spaces on the first floor that would be available. As I stated before, This is just a simple building.

For a while I thought of designing an apartment complex on the lot, especially since it's visible from I-16. I am only doing this a just a random project. Another possible idea.

Seed SC

Seed of South Center (2015)
South Macon, Georgia, U.S.A.
Commercial, Retail, Plaza

The Seed, or Seed of South Center, is an elevated shopping center in South Macon Georgia. For those of you native to this area, it's where South Plaza currently is, you know, where Roses Discount is located. The shopping center is more advanced compared to the ones currently in the area. I wanted to design something abnormal and foreign to the area, I know, because I spent my early childhood in the district. In Atlanta, I've seen weird to weird shopping centers, and I wanted to take a souvenir back to town. The building, with the orange material coded on it, is the main entrance. Inside is the stairs (or escalator) and elevator that takes you to the shopping center. The shopping center is barely accessible from the outside, except via the major anchor and minor anchors on the opposite end. About the natural aspect of this, I placed tree's also inside the shopping center. I still wanted to give it that environmental view. Despite  the fact that it's lifted off ground, it also feels like your on ground level due to the grass and trees being visible. It would be more confusing to leave the parking deck, go up the stairs, and see grass and trees.

The stairs in this picture above take you to the shopping center. The stairs/elevator kiosk are placed twice throughout the shopping center. There is also the escalators near the stairs inside. Notice, I did use an excessive amount of orange.

Sephora is on the minor anchors. It's the only real brand I placed. The major anchor and other minor anchor are just random locations. CCL, the minor anchor next to it, is just made-up. Sephora is also a French-based retail company.

I was hoping to place a book store and coffee joint in the Books & More center. This is also a good view of the roundabout that I placed in the center. You've also seen the cladding. The gold-orange cladding is just the new look for the plaza. To your very right, One of the elevation kiosk, you saw earlier, is visible.

I was careless of the anchor in this project, so I just randomly named the anchor, Anchor Store, the most boring title to call an anchor unless it's just a tenant, almost like calling an abnormal show, Regular Show from Cartoon Network. This is the internal shopping center entrance.

This is a CGI Thea Rendering of the main entrance. I have the parking lot shaded out so it would look like it's closed up. You can see through it, still.

This is just a Birds Eye view of the Shopping Center. The road below is Pio Nono Avenue and intersection to the parking lot currently exist.

These are just the sides of the Shopping Center. The East and the west. You can see the gray material that I have placed in the middle of each side of the mall, just to give it a complex look.

Here is an Availability map. As you can see, this is just a map of where and what's available. Sephora is the only logo on. My goal is focused on just the shopping center, not to place brands. So, I really don't care about what moves in. The anchor might be okay to house the current anchor of the shopping center located in the area, right now, Roses Discount, but it's just there to be there.

Just an ariel glimpse of what the shopping center looks like. It looks the internal part of the shopping center is on the ground, but someone will realize the parking deck is below and they have to go up stairs, elevator, or climb up, just to be in the shopping center.

Seed of South Center is just down the avenue from the Publix and Einsteins Bagel Bros, I designed earlier, to tie the connection, Dairy Queen Building #1 would be located just a few buildings down. Revitalization is what I'm going for.

Media Center

Media Center (2015)
Setting:South Carolina
Unofficial Disney Story
Character Design, Background Design, Fantasy

Meet Valirah, A 20 year old know-it-all who believes in imagination. She works at a library, or media center, and spends most of her time writing fantasy and mythology. She also studies overseas myths, biblical stories, along with scanning poems her mother wrote as well. The picture above is a more rendered out picture of Valirah done in Photoshop. I fell into the idea of pretending to do a Disney Princess. If Valirah were really a Disney Princess, She'd become the second non-legitimate princess (Mulan being the first) and she'd become the first biracial princess. She doesn't have friends growing up so she imagines and daydreams all the time. She also lacks interest in what most females would be in the media, she's not a fashion type, and she envy's when other girls talk about attractive men. But mostly, she writes in her book and it replies back to Valirah in write text. The media center is like her home.

This is a face expression image of Valirah. Normally, when you design characters, you have to show different expressions and different sides of the character, which I have done below. To be more detailed into the character, like the buildings, I did the Front, Side, and 3/4.

These are just drawings of Valirah's actions and her poses. You can see that she's intelligent, envious, and also depressed sometimes when she dreams of having that crown.
About the princess subject, What makes Valirah special to me is that she dreams of it, and she's not even someone who is physical or action, but she's just an average nerd who works at a library. This is contemporary to other Disney Princesses.

This is Emmett Underbanks, but he goes by Teal. He's a child-looking 21 year old college student who is also a know-it-all. He likes non-fiction and loves video games. He also grew up with the green hand-me-down dictionary.

Valirah falls for Teal, and yeah, look at the picture above and you can see the strange relationship these two have. But, In the body of the story, the two will experience imagination coming to life by stating this one quote.

"If life can't do....Then I will say...."

All they have to do for example is say with absolutely NO doubt "If life can't turn the White House gold, Then I will say it's gold." The president is going to get a LOT of visitors. Having a house that's completely gold. Anyone can say the quote, but only those with faith can actually make it true. Valirah and Teal have a lot of fun with this.

I've done five background pictures.
Picture 1 is the outside view along the shore. The large building on the right (you can see the large windows easily) is the library Valirah works at. This image above, I did on Adobe Photoshop. Below are just images of the inside. There are no books nor any desk etc in these pictures. I wanted to only focus more on the building in general. I wanted to give it a very polished look, I might've made it too polished. On Maya Autodesk, I designed the inside and took four rendered pictures of it. In the shelves, of course, are where the books should be, and on the balcony is where desk should be along with Apple Macs and PC's on them.
This is the first building render that I have done with Maya Autodesk. This is also the third interior that I have done (People Eating Salt and Sony Store being the first two)

Picture 2

Picture 3

Picture 4

Picture 5

So, Basically, I am pretending as though I have designed this movie called 'Media Center' which is about Valirah spending her time at the Media Center, and once she meets Teal, The two have an unease way of getting along. When a strange figure on shore tells Valirah this quote "If life can't do....", She starts to used it and it works. She then proves it to Teal. He believes her immediately and participates in her imagination thrills such as seeing mermaids with the head of the Statue of Liberty swimming out of the ocean, Raining Skittles candy during Civil War, and the biggest mistake the two must fix.....Making all of the Books fly out of the Media Center. Once that happens, the quote stops working.

Just Imagine...

Why not? I do it on this Blogger page.
